Snake Eyed Performance Intensive with Devin
$90 (+taxes & fees)

This workshop is set at an intermediate/advanced level, and incorporates multiple styles of RaqsSharqi, Fusion Bellydance, Waving, and Contemporary dance.  Undulating layers atop fancy footwork with unexpected, atypical and complex pathways. This choreography includes floorwork with level up (or down) options for dancers who prefer not to go to the floor.

Nadia Gamal's Fierce Freedom with Diana
$60 (+taxes & fees)

Explore the signature style of one of raks sharki’s most influential and creative legends: Nadia Gamal.

​While Samia Gamal may be known for her sweetness, Fifi Abdou for her strength and Nagwa Fouad for her glam, if I had to encapsulate Nadia into one word, it would be: FIERCE. Through drills and combos, Diana will guide you to understand signature moves by one of belly dance’s boldest creators so that they sink into your body with precision and depth. Then, we will leverage structured improvisation games so that you can integrate the moves into your own dancer toolkit and make this raks sharki fierceness your own. 

Arm-wave Alchemy with Devin

Unlock the elegance and power of expressive arms in this fluid fusion workshop! Designed for dancers of all levels, this class focuses on the technique, control, and artistry of arm waves- an essential element in fusion styles that bridges bellydance, contemporary, and street-dance influences in my background. We'll explore foundational wave mechanics, from shoulder to fingertips, and learn how to layer them with isolations, posture, and musicality. Whether you're aiming for serpentine smoothness or sharp stylization, this workshop will give you the tools to enhance your upper body storytelling and refine your performance  Presence. Open level and Inter/adv options available. 

Saidi Stick Revisited with Diana
$60 (+taxes & fees)

In this choreography-based workshop, Diana shares her take on saidi, a celebration of contrasts: it’s grounded and it is joyful, it’s proud and it is playful. Folklore is not something unchanging and fossilized in a museum. Folklore is alive because it is of and for the people. In this class, Diana, will teach you a segment of a fun and powerful saidi stick choreography that draws from tahteeb, Cairo-style saidi and more traditional saidi. As you learn moves, Diana will also unveil the hidden artistic strategies behind the combos and musicality. Come geek out and work out a sweat, all while looking fabulous and owning your power.

About Devin Alfather

Devin Alfather is a multidisciplinary dancer currently specializing in theatrical Fusion Bellydance, Egyptian Bellydance (Raqs Sharqi) and other MENAHT and world Fusion dances. An multi award-winning performer, she is forever in pursuit of cultural nuance and technical advancement. 

When not tearing up the stages in Texas and beyond, she can be found giving workshops to detail-hungry dancers. She seeks to keep one foot in either world, and is a continuous student of source materials and dancers.

About Diana Soto

Diana Soto is an interdisciplinary dancer known for evocative performances that captivate from the first breath to the final gesture. A longtime performing artist and instructor, Diana now devotes herself to coaching the next generation of dance artists, helping them shape both their craft and careers with purpose. 

She has taught, lectured and/or moderated discussions at well-renowned events in North America such as: Yaa Halla Yall (Dallas, TX); Tribal Massive (Las Vegas, NV), Love Affair (Miami, FL), Triad (Aguascalientes, MX), Camparet (Hill Country, TX), Migrations (Austin, TX), and The Crimson Vagabond Roadshow (Houston, TX), among others. She was invited to present her multidisciplinary solo show “How to be an artist and not die trying?” at artistic residencies in La Espectacular (Puerto Rico) and Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance (New York). She also created and taught two interdisciplinary courses on Arab dance, Orientalism and Eurocentricism for the University of Puerto Rico. 

Since she seems absolutely unable to stay still, since 2025 Diana is also the creator and producer of The Showgirl Experience in Houston, a weekend event focused on the entertainment aspect of belly dance and fusion, and of course, the extreme importance of glitter and all things sparkly!

Diana has a Coaching Certification for Optimizing Talent, credited by the International Coaching Federation and a Research MA in Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam. She’s also mom to the two cutest toddler twins you’ll ever meet: Luna and Lucas, and gigs at some of Houston’s most fun venues. In her spare time, she is a content VP at Edelman, a global communications and strategy agency.
