Pop Choreography
Saturday, April 11th (1-3pm) Learn a fun, energetic pop choreography with Kata Maya! Made up of a few combos that we will repeat with the music, students will have the time to learn the choreography and feel the energy behind the music. Lyrics translation provided. Dancers should have a general knowledge of raqs sharqi movements. Participants can choose to perform this short piece at Tractor Brewing Wells Park this same evening! **If dancers want to perform, they can wear leggings and shimmy belt with a crop top/plain top.** Please note that performers must purchase a discounted ticket to the event ($10). A link will be sent to workshop participants a few days before the show. |

Graceful Lines & Movement
Sunday, June 14th (10am-12pm) This workshop will help students work on their gracefulness while keeping energy flowing from head to toe! Kata Maya will cover technique, drills, and personal-practice application tips through a hands-on approach. Students are encouraged to bring a veil for concept application during the workshop. All levels. |

We have spots open for workshop participants to dance in the show! These will be on a first come, first served basis. Please note that this show is 21+

About Kata Maya
Kata Maya is an award-winning dancer and instructor based in Oklahoma City. She has won awards such as Bellydancer of the Year, Bellydancer of the Universe, and Bellydance Superstar. In addition to teaching at the Aalim Dance Academy (where she instructs Theatrical Fusion & Cabaret/Oriental) Kata Maya has performed around the world with Bellydance Evolution and has taught across the United States. Locally, Kata Maya performs at Private and Public events, focusing on social awareness and cultural education.
