Phone # 3.) Please describe your former dance training, including how long you have been studying, with whom you have studied with, and what styles of dance you study. 4.) Why would you like to join Wicked Muse Dance Project OR Mermaid Muse Belly Dance? What do you hope to learn from studying with Sadie & Lorena OR Adriana? 5.) Please attach a recent video of you performing (you may also just film yourself at home). We prefer to see you dance a choreography that you have learned at Sirena. If it's your own choreography or an improvisation, please be sure to include a variety of movement. We do expect company dancers to have a solid foundation of basic belly dance vocabulary. If you have not studied with us before, or you don't have a video, we are more likely to ask you to take classes from us before we consider your application.
Wicked Muse Dance Project
This is the Tribal Fusion student company of Sirena World Dance Studio under the direction of Sadie Adair and Lorena Martinez Burr. Dancers that are accepted are required to attend rehearsals and weekly classes where they hone their technique, learn choreographies & improvisational group dance, and begin to perform at a more professional level.
Applications are accepted every year on June 1st and January 1st. Space is limited and applicants who have studied with Sadie and/or Lorena previously will be given priority. In Level 1, all applicants must have a minimum of 1 year's worth of dance studies under their belt. Dancers must have an understanding of core belly dance vocabulary.
Mermaid Muse is the new Cabaret style student company at Sirena, under the direction of Adriana Sandoval and managed by Sadie Adair. This is the Raqs Sharqi/Cabaret Style student company of Sirena World Dance Studio. Dancers that are accepted are required to attend rehearsals and weekly classes where they hone their technique, learn choreographies & improvisational group dance, and begin to perform at a more professional level.
