Join me for Happy Hour on zoom and let's play with makeup!

1-3pm MT

You will need:

~Liquid Eyeliner

  • My fave is Palladio from Sally's in Black (dark brown works too!)

~Mascara

  • My fave brand is also from Palladio at Sally's (Twisted in Love), but also use "Falsies" from Maybelline

~Eyeshadow

  • Black (dark grey or dark brown/copper work), plus some colors for blending (should be in between the dark shadow and the highlighting color)- I prefer matte, but sparkly is cool too!
  • Silver, Gold, shiny white or shiny light pink/gold/etc (A highlighting color)
  • It's always nice to also have some neutrals, as well as some bold colors to play with (Blue is fun for MOD style makeup...And I love to play with hot pink and red)!
  • Brands I have: MAC, Urban Decay, and Kat Von D. Honestly, expensive brands don't really matter. I've gotten good pigmentation from Wet n' Wild.

~Makeup Brushes

  • I use a dense rounded Hair Bristle brush for eyeshadow. It really gets the pigment as opposed to long haired makeup brushes.
  • I use a small dense brush and shadow for my eyebrows (I use "Brun" shadow by MAC), but pencils work too, as do gels.

~Foundation and Powder

  • I use a spot concealer for under my eyes and any blemishes, and then cover my face in powder.

~Optional: Blush & Bronzer

~Makeup remover or Baby Wipes. I like to add coconut oil, vaseline, or even olive oil to my face before removing to reduce redness.

~Fake lashes are a Plus! You will need glue unless you use magnetic lashes ( I do not)

~Lipstick! Red is classic.

What Our Students Are Saying

During the pandemic Sirena World Dance Studio has been a saving grace! These ladies have delivered excellent virtual classes in which I've been able to keep up with my personal practice. I don't live in ABQ, but if I did I would certainly try an in person class. If you're looking for some make-your-brain-work world dance fun I highly recommend these mermaids!"
-Yolanda

"I have been wanting to take classes at Sirena ever since their "open house" style day with previews of all the teachers and finally in quarantine have been able to take the zoom classes! I love them!! I have only taken zoom classes with Sadie so far, but they are a lot of fun. It is exciting seeing so many happy people come together to learn this beautiful art."
-Alex

"A wonderfully supportive studio with the most amazing, kindest, sweetest, and most creative teachers! This studio brings inspiring performance art and opportunities to be involved in new ways to Albuquerque. I am so grateful to this hardworking and talented community."
-Katherine

"This studio is my favorite part of Albuquerque. The teachers are excellent dancers, but also very fun and welcoming. I take all the intro and half the level 1 classes. It's my happy place and would be yours too if you sign up."
